What began as a religious feast day for the patron Saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades\, dancing\, special foods and a whole lot of green.  \n\nSt. Michaels is joining the St. Patrick's Day celebration with special events all weekend.   The annual Carpenter Street Saloon shopping cart races are held every year on St. Patrick's Day at Midnight.
